door and toward the direction of the hotel. Junya slouched down on the wall
near the men.s restroom and gave off a sigh. He looked over to the spot where
Lani was standing and saw a business card on the floor. Junya picked it up, and
saw it was a card for the restaurant he was eating in. Junya immediately got
angry.
Junya placed his hand on the wall and slowly pulled himself up via the
wall. He darted to the front of the restaurant, while reaching in his pocket to pay
for his meal.
As he stopped at the table, he saw that there was money on the
table already; probably Lani.s. Junya dropped an extra $20.00 and continued to
the front of the restaurant. He looked outside to the left and the right of the
block, and saw no one. Not Lani... no one. At this point, Junya began to
breakdown, as his mouth opened, there, right in front of him, was Khevasiah.
She hung up her phone call and started to cross the street towards Junya. Junya
wiped his face with his hand and placed it in his pants pocket. His brow was
raised up, and his jaw was clenched tightly.
