Allen and Gwen headed for the San Gabriel Valley to have lunch. The drive was pleasant as Gwen and Allen talked about the new inheritance of love that they had come into. Allen expressed his concerns of the future and the fears that he had of growing old alone as Gwen shared the wants and desires that she required for a lasting relationship. Allen told Gwen that he knew that he was a good man he only needed a good woman to show the goodness to.
Gwen assured Allen that she was a
good woman and that she would be willing to accept all the goodness
that he had to give. Gwen told Allen that even with the bad luck that
seeped into her last relationship, she had not given up on love. She told
him that she was willing to try again and smiled when she told him that
she would like for him to be the one that she tried again with. Allen
welcomed the opportunity and informed Gwen that he would be ready for
the challenge. They reached their destination a little before 1:00pm to
the site of colorful and massive hot air balloons.
"Oh my GOD," Gwen said as Allen looked for a parking space. "Is this
where we're having lunch at?"
"Yep," Allen said as he pushed the button to open the trunk.
Allen got out of the car as Gwen sat in disbelief of the experience that
she was about to have. Allen removed a picnic basket from the trunk
along with a blanket and proceeded to open Gwen's door.
"Baby you will be fine," Allen assured Gwen, "take my hand."
"We're going to go up in that thing?" She asked in a high-pitched
tone.
"Baby, get out of the car. You will be fine."
"How do you know I will be fine?"
"Cause you will be with me and I will never let anything happen to
you."
"Allen," Gwen said nervously, "you have to hold me the whole time we
are up there."
"Baby, I have too much planned to hold you, but you won't even know
that you are up there."
Gwen took Allen's hand and finally got out of the car.
"Baby you will be fine," Allen again reassured Gwen as she clutched
his arm tightly as they walked toward the balloons.
"Ok, I am going to stand strong and do this."
Allen and Gwen reached the office and purchased their ticket. Gwen
clung to Allen as if she were entering a haunted house. The attendant
took notice of Gwen's actions as Allen handled the arrangements for the
balloon ride.
"You know," the attendant began, "we do have a package that will
allow you to go up and still be anchored to the ground."
"Oh baby can we please get that package?" Gwen asked quickly.
