Andreah sat up in the center of the bed and wrapped her arms around her bent knees. She thought about the length of time that they had been seeing each other and helped Gigolo see her thoughts.
"Donte, you have lived your life the way that you have for whatever
reason. What you have to do now is continue to do so. We have been
seeing one another for the last three years and from the time I met you, I
liked you. The like grew to love and the love is still growing today. I have
never given you any grief about your other women or how often you see
them. You have never lied about them nor have you put me in any
situations that are detrimental to me. Baby, you wanting more is a good
sign for me, but I don't think that is something that you are truly ready
for. If you can truly say that you want me to be your lady, your only
lady, I am ready for you."
Gigolo listened to all that Andreah had to say and thought of his next
step. He wanted her to know that he had been contemplating the idea of
settling down. He wanted her to understand how important the next
level of a relationship was to him and how he had thought of her through
the many women that he had in his life.
"Andreah, I want you to be the love that I call on when my heart is in
need. I want you to be the answer when my mind has doubts. I want
you to be the only woman that my soul mates with from this day. Will
you help me with this new step in my life?"
"Yes." Andreah said as she reached out for Gigolo and held him tight
as he did. Gigolo lay next to Andreah and kissed her passionately before
making long lasting love to her. For more than two hours they engaged
in orgasmic love making until Andreah pleaded for a break.
"Maybe you are ready, you have never made love to me like that
before."
"What was so different?"
"You made love to me with more feeling tonight, as if your mind was
truly on me.
Gigolo said nothing as she lay with her back to his chest. He held her
and again fell off to sleep as the sun began to rise.
Allen prepared himself for Gwen's 7:00 am arrival and their plan of
attending Sunday morning service at Gwen's church, then getting
together with the fellas for the afternoon game. He sat eating a shallow
bowl of green grapes as he waited for her call to let him know that she
was outside.
Allen glanced at the wall clock and read 6:45 am on its face
as he sat on the sofa. He wondered how far Gwen's church was and if
they started exactly at seven. He remembered as a child how his mother
would react when it seemed they would be late arriving to church. He
could hear his mother saying how the LORD is always on time when we
need HIM to help us, but we can't be on time when HE invites us to come
to HIS house. He could remember the way his mother hated to walk into
the church late because she felt as if every eye was on her and her
family.
She didn't want to be the woman walking down the aisle of the
church with her index finger in the air attempting to be pardoned for her
part in the interruption of the morning service. Allen smiled as he
thought of his childhood in Chicago and the lessons he had learned not
only from his parents but also from the streets. As Allen thought of his
past, his phone rang and he smiled knowing that it was Gwen. Allen
answered the phone by saying that he was on his way down. He grabbed
his jacket hoping that it would help him to brave the cold early morning
air and walked out.
