Gwen looked at Allen and cut her eyes as she stood and looked for her
clothing.
"Yeah youre right, it is my name that is on the top of the building.
That same building that I am about to go to."
"What, youre leaving?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because your comment was uncalled for."
"Baby, I apologize for the remark but I hardly think that is a reason
for you to leave. I was just trying to say that I dont make the decisions
when it comes to Nike as a whole. Look, I will be there."
"You cant be there, you have a job to do."
"I will be there."
"How are you going to be there when you are not scheduled to leave
until the 16th?"
"I promise you I will be there."
"Dont promise me things. If you can make it, that would be great, if
you cant you cant, some other man will get lucky." She smiled.
"I promise to make you happy for a lifetime if you say that I can."
"That is sweet."
Allen and Gwen hugged then softly kissed in an attempt to make up.
Allen began to slide his hands over Gwens body as she did the same.
"Are we about to make-up?" Allen asked.
"Dont you think we should?"
"I do," Allen said removing his towel, "besides I want to know if what
my father says is true."
"Whats that?"
"He says there is nothing like make-up sex.
Gwen pulled to the curb of Southwest Airlines at LAX and said her
goodbyes to Allen as he prepared to leave for Oregon.
"I hope you have a safe trip," she said after Allen kissed her softly.
"Thank you. Baby, I know that you are disappointed that I have to
leave, but I am going to be back for the show."
"Baby, you and I both know that you will not make it back. Like I
said last week, if you can make it that would be great, if you cant, you
cant baby. Im over it. Just do your very best while you are working."
"Thank you for your understanding. Make sure that you dont do any
of the things that we have been doing over the last few weeks on your
date." He smiled.
"Dont worry baby, I wouldnt want to be disappointed."
Allen got out of the car and headed for curbside check-in, leaving
Gwen visibly disappointed.
