He walked to the stage and stood face to face with Gwen. "I thought you had to work?" She asked. "Dont say anything," he began, "let me have one moment of your time and maybe when Im done you will give me the rest of your life. While I was away, I realized that love was one thing that I have missed out on in my life and me being away from you made me feel like I was heading in that direction again. I remember thinking that love was the only obstacle that stood in my way.
I knew from the moment I saw you, I wanted to be
with you. I knew that I wanted to share my life with you I only hoped
that you would want to share your life with me. Gwen, your love is what
I need to make me complete. To make me whole." Allen reached into his
jacket pocket and removed a ring box. "Gwen Matthews, will you walk
into forever with me?" He asked as he opened the box and presented her
with a ring.
Gwen began to cry as the crowd sat in silence. Tanya shed tears as
she and Cupid held hands. CJ and Charles smiled as everyone waited
for Gwens response.
"Allen, I would be honored to be your wife."
Allen smiled as he embraced his new fiance and kissed her
passionately.
"I promise to be all that we need," he said after breaking the embrace.
"Dont make promises." She smiled.
A Little Bit Of Too Much
Rose buds covered the floor as single filed bridesmaids and grooms
men lined the center aisle of the church. Hundreds of guest filled the
pews and held small conversation as Brian McKnight sat at the piano
and started to play. The bridesmaids, who wore dresses in different
colors of pastel, held a small corsage in both hands near their bosom.
The grooms men, who were dressed in all white, held a single rose in
their right hand, each a different color than the next. Softly the piano
played as guests settled in for a breathtaking ceremony.
The bride presented herself at the at the back of the church, standing in the center
of an arch made of different color roses in the shape of a heart. She wore
an emerald iced blue satin gown with a sheer white covering leaving the
emerald iced blue to be seen. She wore emerald iced blue satin shoes
and a diamond and platinum bracelet, earrings and necklace to match.
She wore no veil or tiara to hide her face or to enhance her image. She
wanted her life partner-to-be to see her in all of her splendor. She
wanted him to take her in, as she was, no more and no less. At the alter
the groom stood with his father as his best man.
Both men were dressed in white as they awaited the grooms life partner to be to make her
entrance. He held three envelopes in his right hand and in his left he
held the first picture that he and his life partner-to-be had ever taken.
As the music played, Gwen walked down the aisle with Mr. Davis as her
escort. She reached the alter where Allen stood waiting to take the oath
of eternity with Gwen and make the promise of respect, honor, loyalty
and commitment to one another. Allen turned to Gwen and handed her
the photo of the two of them on their balloon ride. Gwen accepted it and
smiled knowing that she was marring a man that held sentimental
moments close to his heart. Allen opened the first of three envelopes and
began to read.
