Once Allen's office door was closed, he turned on the intercom to take
the call.
"Ted, this is a surprise, what can I do for you?"
"Allen, we have a problem," Ted said angrily. "We have a big fucking
problem."
"What's the problem Ted? Have I done something wrong?" Allen
asked curiously.
"No you haven't done anything wrong, but one of those knuckle heads
training with you has done something."
"What do you mean? They were fine last night. They said they were
going to get dinner and they would be going to listen to jazz at St. Marks
over in Venice."
"Well if that's what they did, they did, plus some." Mr. Douglas said
angrily.
Allen was still unclear as to what had happened so he asked Mr.
Douglas to be frank with what had happened.
"Mitchell, Mitchell, that big dummy. He got drunk. He met some girl
at this place they went to last night, and he got drunk. He saw the girl
talking to another guy, and he went off on the guy."
"Mitchell?" Allen questioned.
"Yeah, Mitchell. Our clean shaven corporate kid."
"So what has been done?"
"Nothing, he's still in jail. I haven't decided if I'm ready to get him out
yet."
"I'll take care of it Ted."
"Thank you, when you get him out, let him know that I will be there
first thing Thursday morning to reprimand him for his actions. Also
Allen, he's going to need an attorney. The guy he punched on has filed
charges against him."
"I'll take care of it all Ted and I'll call you with an update in a day or
so."
Allen hung up the phone and attempted to remain calm, but the
dilemmas that he had been facing with his mother over the past few
months surfaced. Allen called Mary and instructed her to contact a good
law firm and retain their services, as well as locate Andrew and send him
to his office. Allen then located Cupids cellular phone number to let him
know that they would have to postpone their breakfast plans. As Allen
hung up the phone, Andrew entered his office.
"You wanted to see me Allen?" Andrew said confidently.
"Yeah, yeah I did. Do you want to tell me what happened last night?"
Allen asked.
"Sure. Mitchell had too much to drink, got loud, got rowdy and got
crazy."
